Michael Merriman was born and raised in Walnut Creek, California.
Graduating from Cornell University’s School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration in 1978, he returned to California to pursue a career in presenting fine foods and wines. For 15 years he ran the California Cafe Restaurant Group’s 32 wine, spirits, brewing, and beverage programs.
Since 2000 he has assisted wineries in their marketing.
